After many years of working at the 'Maitri' primary school level, as a next step, the 'Maitri' organization decided to work with the class VI children of the tribal ashram school, Jarida, on science and mathematics. The main objective is to reduce children's fear of science and mathematics and increase their confidence.

The classroom in the government ashram school in Melghat, a model of an airplane and seeing the curiosity, enthusiasm and joy in the eyes of the little children who were looking at it with curiosity, the yearning that Maitri should do something for the future of these children arose in my heart.
How does a plane fly in the air? Why do airplanes have wings? What does the airport look like? Answering such innocent questions of theirs created a strong desire to solve the question of their future and this project started. It was started from class 7th. Many topics were presented to the children in an interesting and engaging manner.

The volunteers of 'Maitri' give 5 days in every month to these children by choosing different subjects like art skills, observation, value education, science, history for the overall development of the children. For this, they are taught to study through laughter and play using a variety of games, projects and models. 

In the ashram schools, showing experiments in science to the secondary school children, reducing the fear of the subject by teaching some tricks of mathematics, conveying things from the geography of Melghat to the history of India in an easy way to the children, playing games to increase understanding and intelligence, letter writing, spelling, and also giving various fun topics to the children. This activity is going on giving scope for many new ideas.
